Podcast Episode Support Kit
Simple, reusable templates to support every podcast episode, before you hit record, while you’re recording and right after you finish.
The Podcast Episode Support Kit gives you a clear, low-effort way to plan your episode, stay focused while recording and hand everything over for editing without micromanaging the process.

-
Hand episodes over for editing with clear context

These templates are intentionally flexible and non-technical. They guide your thinking without locking you into rigid formats or scripts.
What you’ll receive
The Podcast Episode Support Kit (Google Docs templates)
1. Episode Content & Repurposing Sheet
Use this before or after recording to clarify:
- Who the episode is for
- The core message and key talking points
- What content will come from the episode (audio, video, clips, reuse ideas)
Helps you plan once and get more value from every episode without overthinking repurposing.
2. Recording Outline
Use this shortly before recording to give your episode a clear shape:
- Opening
- Main sections
- Closing and CTA
This is a guide, not a script. It helps you stay focused and create better moments naturally.
3. Post-Recording Editor Handover Notes
Use this immediately after recording:
- Flag anything that stood out while recording
- Share intent, context, or priorities
- Reduce guesswork and revision loops
Editors get clearer direction. You get fewer follow-ups.
Bonus: Pre-Filled Example Pages
See realistic, practical examples of how the templates can be used for a real episode.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I use this template in Microsoft Word?
Yes but you’ll still need a Google account to access the template first.
This was created in Google Docs, so you will need to make a copy in your own Google Drive after purchase. From there, you can choose to download it as a Microsoft Word document if you prefer working in Word. However, please note, this template was designed specifically for Google Docs, some features may not work, or display the same way once converted to Word.
For the best experience and full functionality, I recommend using the template directly in Google Docs.
Do I need to fill out all three templates for every episode?
No. Each template supports a different moment in the episode process. You can use one, two, or all three depending on what you need for a particular episode.
Will this help even if I already have an editor?
I would say yes. The Editor Handover Notes template is designed to support editors with clearer context and direction, reducing guesswork, follow-up questions and revision loops.
Is this a scripting tool?
No. These templates are guides, not scripts. They help you stay focused without locking you into word-for-word content.
